Don’t forget that your Six Flags Read to Succeed forms are due by February 23rd. Late forms will not be accepted, so go ahead and turn yours in early if you can! Everyone who completes six hours of recreational reading, has the verification form signed by a parent, and turns the form in on time will receive a FREE ticket to Six Flags! You’ve still got time, so get to reading! Tickets will be distributed at Awards Day in May.

At the American Library Association’s Midwinter Conference in Seattle, Washington, the ALA literary awards were presented.
Susan Patron, author of The Higher Power of Lucky, and David Wiesner, illustrator of Flotsam, were the winners of the John Newbery and Randolph Caldecott medals, respectively.
